Betty & Earl is a relaxing and thoughtful puzzle game where you control everything at the same time in order to reunite the two main characters. The world is connected, and whenever you move, everything follows. Find a way to reconnect Betty & Earl in a world that constantly gets in the way.

History

Bugs are Features

Betty & Earl began as any other puzzle game might, with the goal of moving the player character to some goal. Only there was a bug that caused the goal to move whenever the player moved. Betty & Earl was born!

Cosmic Revelations, Eyeballs

Partway through development, a philosophical/spiritual component began to appear, which justified the use of all those eyeballs, and derailed the project for years.

A Baby is Formed

Towards the end of development, Matt & wife Jamie decided to grow their connections and have a baby, which inspiried the babies and toddlers in the "Spring" zone of the game, and derailed the project for years.
